I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Face Perception Research Lab at the University of Texas at Dallas.
My research focuses on how we process and identify faces, with a focus on three interconnected areas: visual confidence, collaborative decision-making, and individual/group differences in ability. I study the cognitive processes that shape face-identification performance, using methods from signal detection theory, psychometric modeling, and computational modeling. A central goal of my work is to build methodological frameworks that deepen our understanding of face identification and support its application in real-world settings (e.g., security applications and criminal investigations).
Outside of work, I love getting involved with local rescues/advocating for homeless animals. I enjoy hiking with my 3 dogs, exploring plant-based recipes, visiting local breweries, and gardening. One of my long-term goals is to visit every national park in Canada and the United States.
